Hettie and Hattie are timid cats looking for a special, understanding and patient home…
Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

Hettie and Hattie, the last of the ‘H’ team kittens.
Hattie is a real sweetie, she’s gone from a hissy, bitey scared kitten to a playful little bundle of fun who now loves a fuss. She’s not a big eater so she’ll need time to warm to you and her new environment without the aid of treats unless you stumble upon something I’ve not tried her on that she likes?!
Hettie on the other hand (or Hettie McSpice) as she’s known in her foster home will take a little more time and patience than most kittens, she’s come a really long way from lashing out at us to now just hissing when we walk in, she’ll happily sniff your finger or take a treat from your hand and I think once she’s been in a home environment for a few weeks the hissing will subside. She’s currently in a foster room so each time we go in she’s slightly startled by us….like I say she’s not nasty with it just not a fan of touch yet. She’ll need a special patient person/family to help her through her last bit of sass!
