Daph & Celeste

Adopted 27/1/24

Daph and Celeste are timid cats and are looking for a special, understanding and patient home…

Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

2 timid ladies who are very bonded. They had a rough life on the streets before coming into our care and whilst in care they have gone from strength to strength. They will take treats off you, love their warm beds and love their nice food.

They may never want you to pick them up, but they want a home to call their own and they know they are loved. We want someone who is happy to let them do their own thing, be who they are, let them flourish in their own time, but also someone who is happy working with them to bring them out of their shells. Someone who will shower them with treats, love, time and patience. Cats like these girls deserve homes the most… they don’t want a farm life, they love their home comforts, they just may not want to be cuddled. Please give them a chance.

They are only around 3 years old and have their whole life to look forward too. You’ll need to keep them indoors until they are comfortable around you and you are certain they will return home, we expect 9 months ish. Homes well away from busy roads is a must, and no dogs please…. They are fine with other cats.
