Larry

Lovely Larry is a sweet boy who had a rough life before rescue. He was another un-neutered tom cat, fending for himself on the streets and getting in to scraps with other tom cats.

He had issues with his eyes, ears and was battling infection. But we have treated him with everything he needed and now he is in good health. The scarring on his eyes is permanent from an old infection so his vision probably isn’t perfect but he gets by just fine.

Larry was very scared when he first came in but he was so incredibly grateful to be safe, warm and fed.

Larry’s favourite thing in the whole world is a lovely head scratch, it makes him very happy. He is not quite trusting enough with the rest of his body but he does allow his favourite volunteers to give him a good brush. So you will need to spend some time gaining his trust to get to this point. This should be easy with some patience, treats and head scratches!

Larry has lived with other cats at the meadows, however we have found he prefers his own space so he would love to be an only cat, but could live with another calm cat with slow intros and as long as there is enough space.

Larry did enjoy going in the protect a pet gardens at the meadows, but mostly just so he could sunbathe! So he would be happy being an indoor cat, as long is there is a sunny window sill or a spot by the radiator! If you have a cat proof garden or a catio, that would be even better! But he really doesn’t want for much. Just somewhere safe and warm to lay his head, and lots of yummy food.

Larry is FIV+ but don’t let that put you off. FIV cats can live just as long and happy lives as any other cat.
