Minnie is a timid cat looking for a special, understanding and patient home…
Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

Minnie came into SCRT care in early May, having given birth a week earlier in a bread crate on the shelf of a potting table – she had 5 beautiful babies. She was a very scared momma initially but has gradually come to trust and accept a level of fusses.
She has done an amazing job raising her babies (who are also ready for homing) and now needs to find a home of her own too. Even during the early days when she was at her very fearful stage she has never shown any aggression towards anyone. Once you earn her trust she is the sweetest natured cat who readily turns on the purrs.
She will require a lot of time & patience but will reward you for it. I think with slow introductions she should be OK with another cat. I think calm children over the age of 12 should be OK for her (again patience needed). She hasn’t been dog tested but suspect she’d freak out.
