Willow

Looking for an understanding home

Willow is a timid cat looking for a special, understanding and patient home…

Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

Little Miss Willow very sadly came back into SCRT care in August following the unexpected passing of her loving humum. After being together for 6 years, and previously losing her hudad too, Willow was understandably very upset and confused by the circumstances she suddenly found herself in.

However, with time, patience and understanding, this little girl is starting to see light in the world again. She has been desperate for love since she arrived, but was too scared to ask for it or accept it – until now. Which means she is ready for her new, forever family to come and find her.

Willow is not used to living with other cats, so ideally would be an only pet; or maybe a single, very calm fur sibling would be ok.

She would like safe outdoor access eventually (her mum used to take her out on a harness, and she has access to a catio in foster care).

Obviously her new purrent/s will need to be understanding of her recent trauma – BUT, she loves company, so I am certain than in a home environment, at her own pace, she will find herself again. And, hopefully, a new human to love.
