Smyth & Wesson are timid cats looking for a special, understanding and patient home…
Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

Introducing Smyth and Wesson, two handsome boys who are looking for a very special home together!
Smyth is our gorgeous all black boy, while Wesson is black and white. They arrived into rescue in February 2026, when they were around five months old, after being found straying in a local garden with their mum, Calamity Jane, who joined us a few days later.
These boys have had a difficult start to life and are understandably very nervous. All they have ever known is life on the streets and in rescue, so they have never experienced the comforts of a proper home. The sights, sounds and routines of family life will all be completely new to them.
Smyth and Wesson will need patient, understanding humans who recognise that building trust cannot be rushed. They need people who are willing to give them plenty of time, gentle encouragement and reassurance, allowing them to settle and progress at their own pace.
They may not be the kind of cats who will curl up on your lap straight away but with the right people willing to invest in them, they deserve the chance to discover what it means to feel safe, loved and truly at home.
Could you offer Smyth and Wesson the fresh start they deserve?
We know their journey may be a slow one but all they need is someone to believe in them, give them time and show them that the world can be a kind place after all.
