Olly

Looking for a patient home

Olly is a timid cat looking for a special, understanding and patient home…

Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

Hi, I’m Olly 🐾

I came into care as a stray. Life was pretty hard for me at first as I had very sore paws due to a condition called pillow foot, which was painful and uncomfortable. The kind vet team helped me and I responded really well to my medication, so I won’t need any further treatment now.

I was lucky enough to come to The Meadows (phew!), where the humans are very kind. They give me lots of nice treats, which helps me feel safer. I love chicken and Lick-e-Lix and when I feel comfortable, I will gently take them from your hand.

I’m not quite ready for a lot of human fuss yet, but I think with time, patience, and kindness, I might learn to enjoy it one day. I’m a shy boy, so I’ll need a calm home with a very patient human who will let me go at my own pace.

If you give me the time I need, I promise I’ll try my very best!

Lots of Love, Olly 🐾
