Nancy

Adopted 14/4/23

Nancy is a timid cat looking for a special, understanding and patient home…

Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

Nancy arrived in rescue as a very scared and timid little girl. She had been on the streets for a while and had previously had one or two litters. She was paired up with a female cat from the same building site she came from and they have since helped each other to gain trust and confidence in other cats as well as us humans. Nancy has made great progress and her confidence grows daily, she has gone from hiding away to sitting on top of her barrel and watching the world go by. She has also started to play and will have treats too, She will just about allow you to touch her but needs someone with lots of patience to help her through the next steps in her trust. Nancy would do well in a house with another cat or cats as she is still learning how to be a cat herself after her tough start.
If you have the time and patience for this beautiful girl please fill out an application, please no busy roads, or a cat proof garden. A catio or indoor home would be considered.
