Jett

Adopted 18/2/23

jet is a timid cat looking for a special, understanding and patient home…

Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

Jett – where to begin? He was a street cat for 3+ years and has a few battle scars to prove it. I managed to trap him in Oct (2022), he is in good health and at last weigh in was an impressive 6.2kg, so is a pretty solid (but not fat) lad! He has had successful corrective surgery for entropion (lower eyelids curling inwards) which caused major irritation, so he didn’t open his eyes much beyond a squint – as you can now see from his photos he has stunning green eyes. He loves human company, in fact he is a total lovebug and will happily lay beside you for fuss, or drape himself over your arm pushing his head under your chin – he also loves a chat. He loves his treats, gently taking dreamies/meaty stick pieces from my fingers. He does seem a little wary of people walking directly towards him / potentially being cornered but has not shown any signs of aggression apart from an occasional little hiss. I think he’d be happy being an only pet as he’d get all the attention going which would make him happy – he’d make a purrfect little companion.
