Nellie came into SCRT as a very nervous stray, she’s shy and timid but has a lot of potential to be a very loving girly. She doesn’t mind being stroked but we’re yet to get a purr out of her, this is something her new human will be able to accomplish with time. She’s always allowed us to stroke her so we wonder if she’s had human contact at some point in her short life. She’s only approximately 12-18months old and loves to play with her toys, she throws her balls around the pen and loves to entertain herself. She’s quite chatty and enjoys talking to the other cats around her, we’d therefore love for her to go to a home with an existing friendly cat/s, maybe someone she can play with so she can get back those kittens days she likely spent on the streets. She will need a human who can be patient while she settles in and comes out of her shell in her own time but it will be very rewarding when she does and she will be forever grateful for the love and comfort given to her. She’s only a tiny girl and was very skinny when she found but she loves her food and treats (especially lick e lix) so she’s been gaining weight really well. As she’s still very nervous we think a home with no dogs and no young children would be best for her so she can come out of her shell in a calm environment. Home checks and adoption fees apply.
