Betsy is a shy and sweet little lady. She’s only approximately 18 months old and has likely never had a home to call her own. She was found as a stray along with her three beautiful kittens. She was a brilliant Mum to her babies but now they’re all grown up and ready for their new home it’s time for Betsy to find her own forever family.
She’s nervous of new people and is yet to realise how good fuss is. She will be very wary of her new humans to begin with and her new home will likely be very scary for her, but with time and patience she will eventually come around. At the moment she’s not a lap cat, she still doesn’t trust us enough to approach us for fuss but she has made brilliant progress since being in our care. She loves her food, she comes straight over for breakfast and dinner and enjoys her treats throughout the day.
She’s very inquisitive and likes to just sit and stare at her humans. You can see in her eyes when her kittens are playing with us that she wants to join in but just hasn’t quite got the confidence yet to actually do it. She loves other cats, she’s met a few other friendly cats whilst in our care who she’s really warmed up to. Her ears perk up and she makes lots of lovely little chirps. All interactions have been really positive.
A home with another friendly cat could be what Betsy needs to bring her out of her shell. We’re sure she’d love a new play mate too. She’s had to grow up very quickly since she’s had her kittens at such a young age so we’d love to see her being able to act like a kitten in a calm and relaxing home. Young children could be a bit overwhelming for Betsy, so children over the age of 15 years only. She might also like to explore the outdoors in the future, so a home away from busy roads or a catio or cat proofed garden would be lovely. Home checks and adoption fees apply.
