Apricot & Aubergine will need very patient and understanding new parents and a fairly quiet home . . They are a bonded pair and often cuddle up together and rub against each other. They have been with me for nearly a year and Apricot still does not want any fuss and will not let me touch her and may always be the same. If you do need to get her in a basket or brush her she will hiss but does not lash out. However she is very contented in the house and loves playing on her own with balls and soft toys. She also loves her cardboard ball track and often sleeps on it.She does let me walk past her now without running away. She purrs when I put her wet food down in the morning and evening. She does have mobility issues , but has been x-rayed and her joints tested, all clear. So the vet thinks its may be neurological. She gets around very well and can climb up her climbing tower on to the wardrobe, where she likes to sleep and where she likes to go if she is feeling frightened. As she has long fur it does have a tendency to get matted on her back so she will need brushing or clipping occasionally once settled.
Aubergine is much more friendly and loves a fuss. She is nervous though and hides if she knows someone else is in the house. She loves playing with balls and runs around with soft toys in her mouth, and keeps getting even more toys from the toy box . She even sometimes plays fetch. Aubergine is a very boisterous cat and loves playing with my cats and chasing around the landing. She sleeps on my bed at night , but be warned you need to keep your toes covered. She will need entertaining and playing with once settled. She loves sitting on the windowsill and makes chattering noises at the birds.
To start they will need their own room where they can hideaway and feel secure. It may take them a very long time to settle. The door will need to probably stay open .. unless you have wooden floors as Aubergine scratches to get out. They will have to remain as indoor cats with or without access to a catio due to their very nervous natures.
They both eat wet food twice sometimes three times a day and have access to dry food 24/7.
