Mickey is a timid cat looking for a special, understanding and patient home…
Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

Mickey (who responds to moomoo) is an absolute sweetheart. He has a black heart shape on his side (originally named sweetheart, which then got changed to Mickey as the children of the house thought it looked like Mickey Mouse).
He has had a rough start to life, once he was caught off the street he was found to have been bitten on his leg by a dog/fox, he was missing a toe, a little chunk out of his tongue & has a scar under his chin. We have no idea what he had to face out in the wider world, but he is finally safe & ready for his forever home.
He has made huge progress since he has been fostered, he has gone from being completely scared of all humans to slowly learning to love. He loves his toys, especially when he has a human playing along with him, he loves being stroked with one of his play sticks, which gradually leads to you being able to stroke his head, cheeks, chin & back. He isn’t always the most accepting of being petted, whilst he’s still learning to trust it’s all on his terms, but you can see he has a whole lot of love to give, he just needs time. He is quite content just following his human around the house, he loves being in company, even though he can be jumpy if you move too quick!
He still bops with his paw on occasions if he feels scared/if petted when he’s not asked for it, what used to be really scared swipes with claws is now usually more of a clawless bop, asking you to respect his space, for this reason if he could have a home with older or more patient children it would allow him to relax more. His current foster home often has 2 boys present (7 & 10), they have both been desperate to pet Mickey but understand that he’s not quite ready yet. Mickey has been fine with the noise of smaller people in the house, and is still his sociable self during these times. He loves to lick lickelix off your hand, which he will do really gently to both children and adults.
He really is no trouble at all, he isn’t destructive, he just happily follows you around waiting to be played with. He has the cutest little face, he loves all things warm, we have a log burner that he will sprawl in front of, & when that’s not lit any radiator or soft cuddly blanket will do!
He loves nothing more that lying on his back showing off his little belly, which he will sometimes allow stick strokes on, he really is a special little boy, who deserves a home to call his own, where he can feel all the love in the world.
