Iris

Adopted 26/9/25

Iris is a timid cat looking for a special, understanding and patient home…

Now I have arrived at your home, everything is strange and I don’t feel good.
Do not feel impatient if I don’t sleep in my new basket. Yesterday I slept in the dirt.
Do not be terrified if I gobble up my food. Yesterday I had to do it to survive.
Do not get angry if I pee on your floor. Yesterday it did not matter.
Do not be sad if I am afraid of your loving hand. Yesterday I did not have one.
Have patience with me, it’s your world but not yet mine.
If I trust you, I can give you the greatest gift I have to give. MY HEART.
All I need is a bit of time to adjust.

Iris came in partially paralysed and incontinent due to an accident. Luckily this was caused by spinal shock and was temporary. Iris has regained normal toilet functions and is litter box trained. Iris has regained normal mobility and is now looking for a special forever family. Iris is very timid and shy, but it doesn’t take long for her to gain trust.

Iris is used to living with dogs and cats, so she is very social and super playful, so would be best suited with another young cat to have a playful friend. Iris requires a home with access to either a cat safe garden or access to a catio. Iris is semi long haired so will need some maintenance in terms of grooming long term.

Iris will be having her first vaccs and microchip on 13th August, and her new family will need to fulfil her 2nd vaccs and spaying when appropriate.

Iris has been weaned onto a balanced raw diet and has had diarrhoa historically so does need to remain on this diet. This transition will be supported by her fosterer.
